Robin is a serial brand innovator, strategist and virtual Swiss Army Knife of creative with an insatiable curiosity about people and culture. She founded INSURGENTS with the goal of partnering with brave business leaders who want to break through barriers and bureaucratic BS to uncover new worlds of opportunity. Consider her your creative catalyst, the one who will burn the forest to spark new growth. She leads all ideation, innovation and creative strategy. And is one hell of a copywriter.

Over her career, Robin has helped invent or reinvent over 50 brands. Some of the original brands she has helped create and steer to success include: Origins Natural Resources, Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, DrinkLavit, Stetson Bourbon, Voli Vodka, Jane Cosmetics and GeoGirl Cosmetics. She has also helped many mature brands rediscover their “True North” in a contemporary way. Some of these include: Darphin, Keepsake Engagement Rings, Playtex Apparel, Stetson Apparel and Klinger Advanced Aesthetics.

Lauren leads the creative design portion of the INSURGENTS team. She partners with Robin to understand the gnarly challenges of any business in any industry and brings a clear and fresh perspective through design across all mediums and formats.

Lauren is an award-winning Creative Director with over 15 years of experience working with start-ups, internationally known brands, and everything in-between. Lauren brings a deep understanding of brand development, a strong design aesthetic, and a love for “big picture” thinking to every project.

Recent brand building work includes Chuda Skincare, Olivers Apparel, CalEarth (California Institute for Earth Architecture) and Léman Manhattan Preparatory School. For 5 years she was a digital consultant for Origins Natural Resources. She has also worked with Clinique, MTV Networks, MTV Italia, Kate Spade, Rodales and her alma mater Barnard College.
For every project, we curate a band of "killer talent" to create a one-of-a-kind-team of brand strategists, art directors and designers, marketing, research, business planning, digital, content and communications and ecommerce pros to collaborate on your project. This way you don’t get “cookie cutter” thinking or an “agency” style – but the right people for your brand and project.

Our approach is very hands on. We embed ourselves in your team, and work like staff (with a penchant for disruption) and truly become part of your team. We get to know your history, goals, sensibilities, likes and pet peeves.
