Are you unfuckwithable?⁠

Not long ago, I shared a post about one of my all-time favorite words.  FUCK.

I may be a little late to the proverbial party, but I recently came upon a new form of my favorite word via @FastCompany.

Unfuckwithability.

For newbies (like me), before you get all hot and steamy, it has nothing to do with absence of sexual attraction as in being “unfuckable.”

Unfuckwithability is “the quality of being at peace and in touch with yourself, so that nothing anyone says of does bothers you and not negativity can touch you.”

The term has its roots in Black hip-hop culture that became an internet meme.

Look, in this crazy, dangerous world, there are enough things worth giving a fuck about.

I give a fuck about Democracy, Voting Rights, Abortion Rights, Gay Rights, Racial Injustice, Antisemitism, Climate Change, Ukraine.

Why let stupid stuff – like tailgaters and long lines - get under your skin!

The key is distinguishing between the two.

NYTimes Bestselling author Mark Manson wrote the book ‘The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck.’ “The point is, most of us struggle throughout our lives by giving too many fucks in situations where fucks do not deserve to be given.”

Unfuckwithability is the ultimate act of audacity and invincibility.

A simple internal shift in attitude that makes you bulletproof and bullshit proof.

It gives you the ability to laugh at mistakes. And the wherewithal to righteously raise your middle finger at adversity.

Self-worth makes you unfuckwithable. Not needing validation from the crowd.

Being aware of what you can control and letting go of what you cannot makes you unfuckwithable.

Being bold and engaged – not a victim or a bystander – makes you unfuckwithable.

Being like a duck and letting the water roll off your back makes you unfuckwithable.

Transforming fear and failure into fuel - unfuckwithable.

Being unfuckwithable means ditching the grudges and negativity towards people who done you wrong.

It’s also about being good with yourself and to yourself and not giving a flying fuck at the random incoming. Forging ahead and staying focused.

It's knowing what you want, going after it, making it happen, not giving into the naysayers and not apologizing for being unconventional.

For me, being Insurgent and not being afraid to challenge the status quo makes me unfuckwithable.

 It’s definitely a process. 

When I was way younger, I definitely gave far too many fucks about nonsense. And it really messed me up. Trying to fit in and please everyone. What’s up with that!

As we approach Thanksgiving and the turkeys are coming out in full force, find your unfuckwithability. It’s the ultimate freedom.
